WHITE OUT LUNG CANCER
- the fashion show.
Join us for the perfect fashionista’s night out, will be produced for the first time this June by young women in the Raleigh area who are ready to put a stop to this disease.
Jordan Jaked, a recent Meredith College graduate and the event chair, lost her mother to lung cancer in February 2011. In celebration of her mother’s life, Jordan wanted to create an event that would combine her and her mom’s love of fashion to support the North Carolina Lung Cancer Partnership, a chapter of the National Lung Cancer Partnership, which strives to provide research funding for and educational materials about lung cancer.
On June 15th at Burning Coal Theatre, just on the edge of downtown Raleigh, local boutiques and young local designers will present this summer’s most fashion-forward silhouettes and designs.
THE CATCH.
As clear, white & pearl are the nationally recognized ribbon colors for lung cancer, the designers must only use white, ivory, and silver fabrics to create their looks. Our evening will kick off with a wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres that will accompany a silent auction. The boutique fashion show will begin at 8pm, followed immediately by the local designers show. Our mission for this event is to raise lung cancer prevention awareness amongst young women and to raise money to support research grants in hopes of finding a cure. Our goal is to have 200 people in attendance.
We are accepting both monetary and in-kind donations for the event. All donations are tax-deductible, and the North Carolina Lung Cancer Partnership will provide you with a tax identification number. Listed below, you can find our donation needs and sponsorship levels.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
We still need makeup artists, hair stylists, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction items that will appeal to women of all ages, photography, videography, and sponsors. Please email Jordan Jaked at jordan.jaked@gmail.com if you are interested in sponsoring or donating!
